AcroYoga Workshop with Jason Nemer (Co-founder) and Tobias Frank (June 11th - 13th)

For more information about AcroYoga Retreats and Immersions - AcroYoga Retreats

We feel very honored to host the first AcroYoga Workshop in Austria with the co-founder of AcroYoga Jason Nemer!

  • Friday, June 11th, 7.30pm - 10.00pm: Bhakti Thai Fly Jam (Open Level)

"Love like your life depended on it, because it does." - Michael Franti
We can co-create love and devotion. Our Bhakti practice can inspire a direct relation to the divine as we chant the many names of god. This blanket of sweet vibration lays the foundation to start the ritual of Thai massage (NUAD). The practice of metta, "loving kindness" informs how to connect heart energy to the rest of the body. Therapeutic flying is ananda amrita, bliss nectar.
Prior experience or a partner are not necessary.
  • Saturday, June 12th, 10.00am - 12.30pm: Solar Acrobatic Asana Sequence (Intermediate)

Acrobatic strength and body unification techniques will support the rapid evolution of your inversion practice. These elements will be seamlessly woven into a dynamic yet mindful yoga sequence blending the wisdom of both lineages.
Prerequisites: This class is for yogis with an intermediate practice, headstand with out a spot, handstands with the support of the wall.
  • Saturday, June 12th, 2.30 - 5.00pm: The Art and Science of Handstands (Advanced)

The journey of 1000 miles begins with the first step. Handstand is a posture that can teach us a great deal about patience, focus and precision. Acrobatic training techniques will pave the way for yogis to reinvent how to be upside down with ease, control and grace.
Prerequisites: For advanced yogis who already have a free headstand practice and practice handstand against the wall.
  • Sunday, June 13th, 10.00am - 1.00pm: Aspects of True Love. Meditation & Thai massage (All Levels)

In Buddhism there are four aspects of true love: maitri, karuna, mudita and upeksha. We will cultivate self love with an asana sequence that will help us embody Thai massage techniques and stances. With the support of meditation, Buddhist philosophy, chanting & Thai massage, we will not just talk about true love, we will practice it!

AcroYoga blends the spiritual wisdom of yoga, the loving kindness of Thai massage (Nuad), and the dynamic power of Acrobatics. These three ancient lineages form the foundation of a unique new practice that cultivates trust, connection and playfulness. Our highest aim is to bring individuals into a state of union with themselves, with each other, and with the divine. From this place of mutual support the true self can be realized, honored and shared for the benefit of all. Om Shanti - www.acroyoga.org)

Message from Jason Nemer:
"I have been blessed with countless teachers on my path. My younger brother brought me into gymnastics. This is when my "inverted" career started, over 20 years ago. My teenage years were deeply influenced by the training techniques of Russian and Bulgarian Acrobatic Masters. Competing among the best acrobats in the world opened my eyes to many advanced expressions of body control and balance.
I was then a two time US Jr. National champion and represented the US at the World Championships in 1991 in Beijing. In 1996, I performed in the Opening Ceremonies at the Olympic games. That was the high point of my acrobatic career to date. The Olympic experience started me thinking about world peace and global unity.
Yoga came to me in my last semester of university. After that first class there has been no looking back. Connection to the breath and the lifestyle philosophy of yoga filled me with so much joy. My world was changed and only continues to get more rich due to the practice of Yoga.
Currently I train Acrobatics with Master Lu Yi at the Circus Center in San Francisco. Sri Dharma Mittra is my teacher of asana and saintly behavior. Sianna Sherman shows me how poetic grace in motion can be. I study body work with the Thai Massage Circus and privately with the Metta Mama Jenn Yarro. Jenny Sauer-Klein is partnership guru, she embodies honesty and compassion. These lessons are very special and are the glue to this practice for me.
I feel blessed to be sharing this practice with the world and will continue to develop myself and AcroYoga as my dharma.

Om Shanti
